Shola could not get along with any guy easily until she came across Tade where she went for her I.T. Her first week at the Institute was quite good and peaceful, but, after that week, she started having issues with the guys working there. Some of them were disturbing her, and soon enough, they were getting on her nerves. She had warned them on several occasions, but they never took her serious until she slapped one of the guys the following week. As the slap landed on the guy's cheek, every eyes turned out the direction of the slap, and all what they saw was Shola walking away aggressively, while the young man stood on the spot, rubbing his cheek in doubt. He could not believe what had befallen him. After the day's work, as Shola was packing her bag to go home, she found a note on her desk. "Don't allow your past to put your back on the ground. -From T". Shola looked around her to see if she could see who had dropped the note, but everybody seems to be busy with closing for the day's work, and nobody looked guilty. She folded the paper, and kept it in her bag. As she stepped out of the office, Tade, the Manager, offered to give her a lift. She refused, but Tade insisted. "OK. But, I would not say a single word all through the drive." She negotiated. "No problem." Tade replied. They had not driven so far when Tade said, "don't allow your past to put your back on the ground." Shola looked at him surprisingly . "Yes. Don't allow it." Tade repeated. Shola looked away, and in no time, she demanded to be alighted at the next bus stop. The following week, Tade invited Shola to accompany him to an official function, and it was just a matter of time before Shola realized that her defense was getting weak, especially where Tade is concerned. Before Shola finished her I.T, they had both become friends, and they were both used to each other by the time Shola graduated. Before her NYSC, Shola had come to trust and love Tade, and it was just a matter of time before the love birds sealed their courtship by getting married after her youth service.
Shola and Tade's marriage was what all and sundry would pray for. The couples are so fond of themselves that they move about during their leisure times. To Shola, Tade was a god-sent angel as she was able to come over the truma of her teenage days since she met Tade. She has now come to learn how to relate with the opposite sex without much hindrance. Mere looking at the couples from outside, one would not know that they were both passing through fire in their closet. Since their wedding, Tade and Shola had never slept together as husband and wife. Not even before their marriage. Anytime Tade makes some romantic moves, Shola allows him, but, all of a sudden, she would push him away, and she could be a little violent at times. Before their marriage, Shola had always put up such attitude, but Tade had simply interpreted it as she standing on her ground of not wanting sex before marriage. There was a time Tade could not bear it anymore, and he had to ask her some vital questions, which led to her telling him about the rape. Tade promised and assured her that he would stand by whatever she wants, and would not bring up the issue of sex until they get married. Shola herself never knew the whole thing was a scar that would bleed at any point in time. It was on their wedding night that Shola knew the issue had nothing to do with pre-marital sex. As for Tade, he felt it was the stress of the day that made Shola refuse his advances that night. It's almost a year now, and the couples are yet to consummate their marriage at all. Fears and worries hang solemnly in the air, as Shola herself so wish to get over the incident, but it all keep coming to her, even after many years, and she doesn't know what else to do, as it was obvious that her one year marriage is going down the drain.

I feel like crying myself because sometimes, life itself is not fair. How and why would a lady loose her virginity out of her will, and yet still suffer the truma even after many years? Why should the shadows of our past always hunt us, even when we are not the one who created the shadows? Why? Why? Why should one's scar still bleed even when a lot of efforts had been made to suffer and get over the pains of the injury in years? Well, the story still continues. So, join me again on Monday as we continue the story BLEEDING SCARS.
