ARE YOU A LIVING THING? THE "MR. NIGER D" SAGA (Episode 7)


We're still on Irritability, and today, we would be looking at the last set of measures of controling anger. But, one basic truth I would want to establish is that, anger is a normal way for one to show and express a bad emotions, although, the way we express our anger is what matters. So, let's continue with the measure of controling anger.

1. SELF-TALK: When you find yourself in an angry situation, try as much as possible to repeat some calming and positive words to yourself. If possible, you can go ahead to call your name before saying whatever calming  words you want to say to yourself. For instance, you can keep repeating to yourself words like, "Ofmat, calm dowm", "John, just take it easy", "Bimbo, you don't have to be angry", etc.

2. REMEMBER A PAST HAPPY OR PLEASANT EVENT: Now, this very measure is not all that easy, as it involves a mental shift in the present (angry) situation to past good, happy or plesant event. But, if this mental shift could be achieve when one is angry, it goes a long way to calm your mind, and before you know it, the anger would sub-due.
