FATE ON A SWING (The Final Saga)

The market looked very familar with the one Gbenro used to know. Infact, he has used his head to carry a lot of loads through the market, and has also pushed his wheelbarrow through it countless times. The market was simply the same. Nothing changed about the market, except for the fact that the market was now very free. It used to have a lot of cars and trucks blocking the road at different ends, but this time around, the road was simply free. Gbenro was pushing his wheelbarrow effortlessly because the load on it was not as heavy as it used to be, and he also was not in a hurry. As he pushed through the market, he greeted one person or the other, and from all indications, he was a popular figure in the market. "Gbenro Gbenro!!! " The market women would jeer at him, and in his usual jovial manner, he would answer, "Emi ni yen ooooo(that is me)". Sometimes, he would say to them, "okunrin le n ke si. (It is a man that you are hailing)". As he pushed his wheelbarrow through the market, he observed that a small crowd gathered at one end of the market. So, he moved closer to them to see what was happening. To his amazement, a young beautiful lady was right on the floor, and people were gathered, looking at her. Gbenro left his wheelbarrow, and raced to the lady. "What happened? What happened?" Gbenro asked looking at the people around. Mama Angella was the one who responded. "I don't know what happened. She be want buy meat from my hand, na him she come scream before she fall for ground." A man at one side of the market was trying to move to help the girl, but a woman, probably his wife, was holding him back. "Help! Help!! Help!!! " Gbenro shouted as he tried to carry the lady. Nobody moved close to Gbenro and the girl because they were scared the girl must have contracted Ebola which was the talk of the town. Some even believed that mere looking at someone who had contracted the disease is dangerous for them, let alone carrying a stranger. Gbenro single-handedly carried the lady and put her on his wheelbarrow after he had poured away what he was carrying with the wheelbarrow. He was pushing her away to a nearby hospital when the shout of "Amen" woke him up.

Gbenro was shocked when he saw three men around him. His hands and legs were chained together, and his cloth was gone. He was only putting on trousers. He looked around, and he could see things that indicated he was in a church. "How did I get here? What happened to me? Why am I chained?" He asked, looking at the three men who were praying for him. He tried to remember what happened to him, but, the last thing he could remember was sleeping on the grave, and covering himself with the red cloth Baba gave him. When the men heard him talked, they shouted "Hallelujah" three times.

Minutes later, Gbenro was sitting in front of the pastor who prayed for him. "Pastor, that was what I can remember." He said. "Hmmmmm...to God be all the glory." The pastor said. "But, pastor, what I don't understand is the dream I had few minutes ago where I was helping a young lady who fell down in the market." Gbenro said, looking confused. The pastor sighed as he started. "My brother, when we were praying for you, God showed me some revelations I didn't fully understand them until you shared your dream with me." The pastor added. "There is an appointment time for everybody, and nobody can beat that time. There is a time to plant, and a time to harvest." The pastor explained. "Your destiny was not for you to get rich when you wanted to because if you do, you will be so proud that the money will kill you. So, fate has it, that few months to your 20th birthday, you will be rich." The pastor added. "Wait a minute, I will really be 20 in two months time." Gbenro said. He has forgotten about his birthday all this. "The lady you carried in your dream was supposed to be the source of your wealth. Yesterday while you were away at Baba's place, you were supposed to be at the market where you would meet the lady, and help her to a nearby hospital. It is from there you would meet her parents who would take you in as their son. Your contact with the girl would bring about the end of her misery. That was how fate had it." Gbenro was stunned by the Pastor's explaination. "You mean while I was at Baba's place yesterday, I lost my chance of being rich?" Gbenro asked as he put his two hands on his head. He wanted to cry but tears did not obey him. His issue was just more than tears. "So pastor, how do I meet that girl now?" Gbenro asked. The pastor was silent for a while before saying,  "From the revelation God showed me, fate has it that you will cure the girl by just coming in contact with her, and that same day, through the girl, your own story would change for good. But, since you were not available, God has used a prophet to heal the girl, and she is now free from her misery." Gbenro got up from the chair, and sat on the floor. "So, what will become of me now?" Gbenro asked. "My brother, our God is a merciful God. I am sure that with prayer, God will settle you."

>>>>>>> EPILOGUE <<<<<<<
There are times we  run up and down trying to do things ourselves, forgetting that there is a God somewhere who has the best plans for us. There are times we use our human knowledge and understanding to get things done ourselves, forgetting that "it is not of him that runs, nor of him that will, but of Christ that shows mercy." How many of us have run faster than our God? How many of us have lost treasures and golden opportunities out of impatience? Can you take a minute to pray for yourself now? Tell God to forgive you in any way you have been running faster than him. Also, pray to God to help you recover all what you might have lost out of impatience. May God help us all IJN.

                                                    ###########  THE END ###########

I'm sure I don't need to say anything again because the story has spoken for itself. This thing we call Fate, it has a lot of miseries we can not fathom. A lot of deep deep things. The spiritual controls the physical, and that is why only men who are rooted in the spiritual would see and control the physical. Some people are evil, and they do a lot of evil things in the spirit realm. But, those who align themselves with Christ can not be harmed by these evil men, and one with Christ is a majority. WHERE YOU STAND IS WHERE YOUR FATE STANDS. SO, WHERE DO YOU STAND??? Join me again next week as we start yet another wonderful story.
