SHADOWS OF LOVE (Episode 1)

Chief Agbelere (Farming is profitable) is one of the richest farmer in Kijipa village. His plantation runs into hectres, while his barn is the biggest in the entire village. When you talk about farming in Kijipa village without mentioning Chief Agbelere, then your story is not complete. Chief Agbelere's wealth is so much that even the king fears he would one day be over-throned by his rich friend. The Agbeleres are known for farming. From generations to generations, the family does not engage in any other occupation aside farming, and each father ensures he passes the secrets behind the occupation to his eldest son before death comes knocking. Chief Agbelere did not fail his ancestors. He had started teaching his only son, Agbegemi (farming saved me), the rudiments of farming right from age 5. At age 13, the young boy was already given 2 plots of land to farm behind one of his father's farms. Now, Agbegbemi is a full grown man, and he controls plots of lands as his aging father begins to lack strength and agility in the occupation.

Still in that village is a young man whose family occupation is not as rich as that of others. Ayandele (drummer got home) is a drummer, whose skills and creativity in the field cannot be matched with that of anybody in the entire village. Ayandele had lost his parents a couple of years ago, and since then, he had taken up his father's profession on a full scale. Ayandele repairs drums for drummers like him, and he is also into the business of creating and selling drums. Also, Ayandele goes to occasions with his small music band where they sing and drum. His sonorous voice had earned him numerous opportunities to perform in several functions, both within and outside the village. Although, he was not born with a silver spoon, but with hardwork and honesty, Ayandele has been climbing the ladder of success step by step. But, his trouble started when he was to perform at Agbegbemi's father's burial. He had rehearsed well with his band, and as the band leader, he had carefully allocated responsibilities to each of them. But, as they say, "the head that would suffer would eventually suffer even if he sleeps all day."
