HOW TO CATCH A THIEF (The Final Saga)

:::::::::::Catching the Thief:::::::::::

The D.P.O could not fathom what on earth could make Wada drop the file case "A". Following his past records and achievements, Wada takes delight in cases like that. He was quite remarkable in his former district for putting most of these notorious thieves behind bars. He had been awarded on two different occasions because of his wonderful and unprecedented successes in his former district, and that was why he became a detective in just few years in the force.  But, for dropping his very first case in his new station, which ordinarily would have turned out to be Wada's best case, the D.P.O became suspicious. He gave back the file to the earlier detective handling the case before Wada came. "From now on, I want you to trail Detective Wada." The D.P.O told the detective he just handed the case to. "I sense something fishy about him." The D.P.O finally said, as if talking to himself.

The eatery where Ashley and Wada were to meet was located in the heart of the city. Infact, it was one of the busiest places in town. But, "A" had already mapped out the strategy to attack and kill Wada. He didn't just want to go in and kill him in a jiffy. "I want to talk to him first." He had told his gang that morning. "I want to tell him to his face that he made me who I am today." He finally said as he went ahead before them. Ashley was dressed in a native attire so as to make him look casual and innocent. He had told his gang members to burst into the eatery in exactly 10 minutes after he enters. They would come in as it's a robbery, and there and then, Ashley would reveal his identity to Wada before killing him. Wada on the otherhand, had no clue that Ashley saw him the other day in a police van. He does not even know that Ashley was aware of his police records, which the guy who supplied them guns had given up for just a little thousand Naira. "I'll seek for his forgiveness, and then plead with him to leave what he does." Wada said to himself, as he sat at the eatery waiting for Ashley. With his bold steps and innocent look, Ashley walked into the eatery, and the two exchanged old time pleasantries. They both talked for a while about family, work and life in general. "I'm into importing and exporting." Ashley said. Meanwhile, the police officers who were appointed by the D.P.O to keep track on Wada were in a taxi outside the eatery, while another police van was parked some metres away. Before Wada could have enough time to change the topic to say what he wanted to say, it was exactly 10 minutes, and Ashely's boys had busted in. "Everybody get down". A big voice with a small pistol commanded. In no time, "A" was already standing before a kneeling Wada. "Waddy, you made me who I am today, and you must pay for it". Ashley told Wada. Before Wada could say a word, Ashley released two bullets into his skull. The gun shots alerted the policemen outside, and in no time, bullets were exchanged by the two groups. After it all, one of Ashley's boys ran away, one had a bullet injury, two were shot dead, and Ashley himself was arrested with a serious bullet injury.

"Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future." God's mercy can always speak for us when we sin, but sometimes, mercy does not over-write the consequences that might follow our sins. So, watch your words and actions today, because they are like seeds being planted on another man's field, and you can't be so sure the type of tree the seed might grow into.
