MAD AGAIN (The Final Saga)

The bag was across your shoulder as you walked out of the ditch, and to your amazement, three cars were waiting for you. You tried to run back into the ditch, but two hefty men ran after you. They gave you a hot pursuit, and your strength could not match theirs. In a matter of time, you and the bag were across the shoulder of one of the hefty men, as they gave you a lift back to where the cars were packed. Like a bag of rice, you were dropped before a waiting Powa. You tried to display some madness to see if they would think you were mad, but a slap restored you back to normal without much effort. "So, you thought you could pretend long enough?" Powa asked. You kept quiet, as words failed you. "I knew the doctor was lying when he said you were mad." He said. "Can you imagine the Doctor also said he has lost his memory?" He asked, facing one of his men, and laughing heavily. "I knew you would eventually lead me to where my gold is" He said, as he pulled the bag from your shoulder. He looked inside the bag, and smiled like a newly wedded groom. "Boss, what should we do with him?" One of his boys asked. "Don't worry about him. I have already got a surprise package for him" Powa replied with yet another smile. He dipped his hand into one of his suit pockets, and brought out a wrapped paper. As you sat on the floor, surrounded by Powa and his hefty men, your ambitions and future plans crossed your mind. You remembered the boutique business you had in mind, and how you intend to grow it. You would sell the golds, and head to Onitsha to rent a shop, and start a boutique. You would even take the business to a very high level by going to neighbouring countries to import clothes. You would buy your parents a house, and make your siblings live together again, the way a happy family should. You would... Eventhough you saw Powa bring out a piece of paper from his pocket, you were so lost in thoughts that you didn't even see what was coming. "Let's make your dream come true" Powa said, as he blew a powder substance on your face. Like a dream come true, you saw yourself in a big boutique coordinating things there. "How many packets jeans do we have now?" You asked with a smile, as you got up from where you sat. "Make sure all the clothes are complete oooooo" You shouted. "Where is the gold I paid you to bring for me?" You asked Powa with a very serious look. He simply ignored you as he entered the car, zooming off with other cars. "Boss, what did you do to him?" One of Powa's men asked him. Powa gave him a light smile. "He wants to be mad, and I just made his dream come true" He replied with yet another smile. "Thief!!! Give me my gold. I paid you for it" You shouted as you ran after the car. You stopped abruptly at a point as you smiled to your dream that just turned into reality. Just that the reality was in insanity.

=====EPILOGUE=====

One adage says, "what you won't eat, don't bother sniffing it". This is because what we sniff so often, has a way of finding itself right into our mouth, and sometimes, we get more than we can chew. More than would have got if we actually wanted it in the first place. Some of us are currently sniffing what we won't eat. We sniff if too often that we are even very familiar with the scent/odour. Hey! I'm not talking about gold alone here. Yes. You don't sniff gold, but what of that girl you know you will not marry, but you keep promising her marriage? What of that guy you keep saying is not your type, yet you fiddle with his heart, and collect his money? I don't know the exact thing you might be sniffing right now because you know it better than I do. But, one thing I know is that life has a way of putting what we sniff too often in our mouth, and guess what? We must chew it because life would give us little or no options at all. So, my point is simple and direct. What you will not eat, don't sniff it at all. So that you won't end up like Smallie who ended up getting the madness he sniffed for months, and if you have already sniffed some things you know you won't eat, I beg you to make amends immediately because you never can tell when the game would be over.
