:::::::::::18th October :::::::::::
Dear Diary,
The night can be filled with many unforeseen events that one can not say for sure how the events would end. One of the numerous events the night holds is its cold nature. The night can usher in an uncontrollable amount of cold breeze into one's system, especially, someone like me whose husband threw out of the house at the early hours of the night. It was that very day I knew for sure, that the night is a respecter of no man. I stayed at the balcony for some minutes, knocking the door, and hoping Jude would open the door for me, eventhough I knew he would have gone into his study to complete one or two office work. I went to the side of the house where Mama's window was located. As I knocked, she got up, and closed the window. "Please, I just want to take my phone." I said, as she closed the window. At that point, I knew for sure that my fate for the night was sealed. I didn't know where to go to, and the night was getting thicker and thicker. Two of my friends that could accommodate me for the night live far away from our house, and I was not having neither money nor my phone on me. Then, a thought crossed my mind. One of Jude's friends lived in the next street, and as the cold breeze bruised my body, I knew I had few options. I gave another knock on the door with the hope of getting a response before heading down the street. My knock was replied with a dead silence from the house, and I knew I had to leave before the gate at the entrance of our street would be locked.
I don't know if I should say I was lucky to meet Chike at home, but, on getting to his house, the young bachelor was locking his doors, preparing to go to the club. "Mena, what are you doing here at this time of the night?" He asked with amazement. The tears from my eyes answered his question, and he understood perfectly what had happened, again. I tried to open my mouth to explain what transpired back at home this time around, that made Jude send me out of the house at such odd time of the night, but I couldn't get the words out of my mouth. He ushered me in, and told me to feel at home. He went to the kitchen, and brought out a bottle of drink with a pack of sandwich. I guess he bought it for himself, but didn't eat it."Just eat and relax. Tomorrow, we'll settle everything." He said with such an assuring tone. "I'll be back. I just want to hangout with my co-workers at the club." He said as he left the house. The sitting room was not too different from what I know it to be when me and my husband visited him some weeks ago. The major difference was just a picture on the wall. It was the picture of another lady totally different from the one we saw the last time we visited, and Jude also commented the last time we came that the picture on the wall was different from the one he saw the last time he visited alone. The picture on the wall was not my problem, neither was the dessert set before me. My mind went over the whole event again, and I didn't know when tears found their way out of my eyes. Not so long, the tears started coming out in large numbers, and it was just a matter of minutes before the tears lured me to sleep. I didn't know how long I had slept, but, I remember that a strong stench of alcohol and a masculine touch was what jeered me up from my impromptu sleep.

If you have a diary where you write down secrets that are meant for you alone, what would be your top secret in the diary? A lot of people are already justifying Mena for wishing her husband was dead. But, my question is, is it good to take an eye for an eye? What do you think will happen to Mena now? Well, as you know, the answer can only be found in the next episode. I'm sorry I didn't send Daily Diet yesterday. I had a serious issue with my Whatsapp, and I didn't rectify it until late at night.
