One does not need a soothsayer before one would know what is happening in the country now. A lot has been happening, but what caught my attention the most is the way some able-bodied guys have started walking great distances. Some weeks ago, a guy started walking from Lagos to Abuja in honour of Nigeria's president-elect. Just last week, another guy started walking from Yola to Abuja for the same reason. Guess what? This week, someone else has started walking. But this time, to a very different location, and for a very different reason. Nasels' National president, Comr. Fortune Akujobi has started a walk from Kaduna state to Uyo, Akwa-Ibom state. It was gathered that the president started the walk in other to participate in the 9th edition of the INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF STUDENTS OF ENGLISH AND LITERARY STUDIES which would be kicking-off in exactly 25 days time. The conference, which would witness the presence of all English students in Nigeria and abroad would kick-off on the 24th of May, 2015, and it would span through the 30th of May, 2015.
The conference would be spiced up with different events among which include, Inter-school Quiz, Debate, Pagentry, Football Competition, swimming competition, as well as other literary, creative and academic lectures aimed at bettering and enhancing the value and virtues of over 1,000 delegates expected to attend the conference. In his bid to encourage other Naselsites to join him in the walk, he had made provision for them to walk to. Those that would like to "walk" to Uyo can simply contact Nasels' South-South Regional Director, in person of Ofmat Austus Nwanne (Mr. Tackle). They should aswell include their name and school in other to personalize their "walking" picture which would have the conference's poster as its background.
