{NEGO POETRY CORNER CONTEST 2012 }
{second prize winning poem}
The news has spread round the city
People know about it, even the fifty.
They stigmatize me in the community
And also in our youth society
'Cos to them, I've brought a bad identity
At a very tender age, twenty.
And in turn, lost street credibility.
I now walk the university with difficulty
And my friends think I'm out of duty
So to me, they're mellowing pity.
Though, I may be guilty
And my life is at brevity
But, it does not lack continuity
So, I don't need your pity.
Dedicated to all HIV/AIDs patient.
