Have you ever wondered why they say, "as proud as a peacock"? The simple truth is that a peacock is not proud nor arrogant. Just that it showcases its feathers in a boastful manner. It's the nature of a peacock to raise and widen its feathers at some point in time, but this is what people call pride.
Just as a peacock, there are times we are always ourselves - the way we talk, the way we walk, etc, and some of the ways we do our things are what people use to tag us different names. They say we are proud, arrogant, rude, etc. Whereas in the real sense of it, we might not be proud, rude or arrogant.
Nevertheless, we should also be watchful cos some of the things people say we are can be true, because, "in every lie, there is always an element of truth". But, if after checking yourself, you realize what people call you is not true, then, don't bother yourself about what they call you. Leave them, let them talk, because, no matter how you call a peacock names, it would never stop widening its feathers.
