SUCK LIKE BEDBUGS

"...don't let the bedbugs bite". That was one of the expressions lovers use to end their conversations at night in those days. Lolz.... I was doing a little research on BEDBUGS lately, and I discovered that their growth is entirely different from other insects. The growth of a bedbug is totally dependent on the amount of blood it sucks. It is the blood they suck that works as nutrient for their growth. At that, it's possible to see a baby bedbug grow bigger than it's parents, if it's opportune to suck more blood than its parents.



Very funny. Isn't it? But as a Christian, our spiritual growth can be likened to that of a bedbug, because our growth does not depend on when we gave our life to Christ, rather, it depends on the amount of God's Word we eat, our personal relationship with God, how familiar we are with the Holy Spirit, etc.

So, brother/sister, we know you've given your life to Christ even before the birth of Christ. We know you are "this and that" in your church. But, that's not the point. The point is, how much of God have you sucked? How entangled are you with the Holy Spirit? Like a quote says, "it's not how far, but how well".
