30 THINGS YOU MUST DO BEFORE YOU ARE 30 YEARS OLD {EPISODE 2}

Since I posted the first episode of this article, questions and comments have been rolling in. Alot of people have been waiting anxiously for the second episode of the article, and like I promised, here it is{number 16-30}

Number 16

******YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN YOUR PURPOSE******

This is a self explanatory point and for that reason, I won't dwell so much on it. Every human being on earth is a solution to some particular problems, and also, a blessing to some individuals. Before you clock 30 years, you must have discovered your purpose and be driven by it. It's not about the years spent on planet earth, it's about living a fulfilled life.

Number 17

******LEARN HOW TO DRIVE A CAR******

As a purpose-driven and future-minded person, who so much know that he/she has a good and bright future ahead, it is highly important for such a person to know how to drive a car before 30. Learning how to drive a car is not a difficult task at that, and if one is fully devoted and dedicated to it, within a month or two, one would be done with the learning. So my people, hear it now, before you clock 30, you should have known how to drive a car.

Number 18

******HAVE THE FINANCIAL ABILITY TO FEED YOURSELF******

It hurts me so much when I see people who at the age of 30 still depending on their parents, cousins, friends, etc to feed. This is wrong. Totally wrong, because if at the age of 30, a guy or a lady cannot feed himself/herself, then, I wonder how he/she would be a good spouse. Well, if you are not yet 30, thank God you are reading this now and if you are already above 30 years, all hope is not lost still. ...so, before you clock 30, you should be able to feed yourself, easily.

Number 19

******HAVE THE FINANCIAL ABILITY TO FEED SOMEONE******

This is a sequel to number 18 and this does not go to the guys in the house alone, it also goes to the ladies too. Like I said at number 3 of this article, the society does not celebrate women who do not work and in turn depend solemnly on their husband. Infact, guys do not subscribe anymore to ladies who would in turn become liabilities to them. It is against this background that it is highly important for both sexes to have the financial ability to feed someone else. It could be your mother, father, sister, brother, friend or even your neighbour, because this would in turn get you ready for your family life ahead. So, that means, before you are 30 years old, you should have what it takes to feed yourself and feed someone else.

Number 20

******HAVE A MINI LIBRARY WITH A MINIMUM OF 30 BOOKS******

"Show me a man who does not read and I'll show you a man who does not know". Reading culture in this our present generation is reducing drastically, no thanks to technology. Some of us spend so much money to buy clothes, shoes, etc, and we don't even buy books at all. Ask yourself the last time you bought a book. Ask yourself the last time you left your house with the aim of buying a book or two. To cut-short the long story, just bear in mind that before you clock 30 years, you should have a mini library with a minimum of 30 books.

Number 21

******MUST BE A COMPUTER LITERATE******

I strongly believe that I don't need to emphasize so much on this point because it is self-explainatory, but nevertheless, it is important to explain what I mean by "computer literate", so as to avoid any form of misconception. By "computer literate", I'm not saying you must be a computer guru or a computer wizard, rather, I'm saying you must know atleast, the basics and rudiments in operating a computer. This is to ensure you survive in this technology-driven society of ours, because, if you don't update, you'll outdate. So, my brothers and sisters, if at all you want to succeed on this planet in this present generation, then, before you are 30, you must be a computer literate.

Number 22

******YOU SHOULD HAVE UNDERSTOOD THE CONCEPT OF TIME MANAGEMENT******

I remember a joke I used to say sometimes ago about advocating that God should increase the number of hours in a day to 36 hours, instead of the normal 24 hours because the normal 24 hours is not enough to carry out our daily activities. It was also then it stormed me that even if God should increase the daily hours to 36, it still would not be enough and that's because, it's not about the number of hours, rather, it's about what we do with the hours. Here is the truth, before you clock 30, my dear, you should have understood the concept of time management because if you know and master this concept, believe me, 12-16 hours is enough for you to execute your daily plans.

Number 23

******YOU MUST HAVE READ THE WHOLE HOLY BIBLE, ATLEAST ONCE******

It hurts to see that we Christians don't even read the Holy Bible anymore. Some of us only have relationship with our Bible every Sunday alone, from morning till noon. It should however be known that the amount of God's Word you know would determine how many obstacles you would be able to tackle when you come across them on your way to success. So, bear this in mind, before you are 30, please make sure you have read the whole Holy Bible, atleast once, because in it are the keys of life.

Number 24

******MUST HAVE KNOWN THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN AN ASSET AND A LIABILITY******

It pains my heart when I see youths who are missing it big time, especially in the aspect of "what to buy" and "what not to buy". I often wonder why a young man would run to buy a car with his first few income without first building a house or buying a land{asset}. I'm not saying a young man should not buy a car, but it should be when situation or the nature of his job really demands for it. I'll use simple words to define these two terms and I'll leave you to determine which you have to run after. “An asset is a valuable thing that either brings money or does not require you to pump much money into it once acquired, e.g, landed properties”. On the otherhand, “a liability is something that constantly requires your time, energy and money to ensure its survival, e.g, cars. So, before you clock 30, you should be able to know and understand the differences between an asset and a liability. “...and in all your gettings, get assets.”

Number 25

******MUST KNOW THE DIFFERENT UNIQUENESS OF A MAN AND A WOMAN******

Is this coming to you as a mini bomb? Did you know a man and a woman have peculiar uniqueness? Well, if you did not know, now you do. Your understanding of the uniqueness of your opposite sex goes a long way to determine how you relate with your opposite sex and not that alone, it goes along way to help your marriage later in life. I won't dwell so much on this point. But, just know that your opposite sex has some uniqueness{not physical alone} and you need to know them before you are 30.

Number 26

******MUST LEARN A TRADE OR ACQUIRE SKILLS******

To some people, this might not be so important, but, there is a need to say it for the benefit of some other people. The reason for this is to ensure that you have a "plan B". Also, the reason you must have this number 26 before you are 30 years old is because it's the period you are a bit free and less occupied. So, before you are 30, learn a trade or engage yourself in one skill acquisition or the other, so as to be ready for any future eventualities.

Number 27

******MUST KNOW WHAT YOU NEED IN A MAN/WOMAN******

This is what should be done very early enough, possibly in one's early or mid 20s. As a husband or wife to be, you should be able to know what you want/need in your future partner. You shouldn't be swayed here and there by different things. This stage is just an advanced stage of Number 15 {your ability to choose your friends}. So, as a guy/lady, know what you need in your future partner before you are 30 years old and don't let it be an "anything goes" matter.

Number 28

 ******MUST KNOW HOW TO COOK******

Please, hear this, irrespective of your gender, before you clock 30, you must know how to cook. This point does not exclude any gender in this our current dispensation because gone are the days a man would starve to death simply because his wife is not around. As a man, there is nothing wrong if you know how to cook. A man once told me, "It's better you have it and not need it than to need it and not have it." On the other hand, it's important, infact, highly important for we ladies to master all the acts that could be performed in the kitchen because one of our duties as a wife/wife-to-be is the stomach of our husband. A Yoruba proverb says, "the woman who knows how to cook, keeps the man". So, hear it again, irrespective of your gender, before you are 30, you must know how to cook.

Number 29

******MUST CULTIVATE THE HABIT OF READING NEWSPAPERS******

This point does not require much emphasis because it is self-explanatory and for that, I won't dwell so much on it. A quote says, "If you are not informed, you will be deformed". Reading of newspapers or/and listening to news is what would keep us ahead, and at this point, I stand to say that there is nothing like dead news, because the news you've not heard of or read about, no matter how old it might be, it's still new to you. Some of us have not even for once bought a newspaper with the aim of reading. Also, technology has made it so easy now because we have online versions of some newspapers which we can access without stress. 

Number 30

******YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN******

Young man, young lady, knowing and acquiring all what that have been said from number 1 - 29, without being BORN AGAIN equal to nothing.
"What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and loose his soul?". My people, before you clock 30, you must be Born Again. Are you reading this and you've not given your life to Christ? Then, say this prayer NOW from the depth of your heart. This might be your last opportunity to be saved.

"DEAR JESUS, I CAN SEE MYSELF NOW AND I CAN SEE HOW I'VE BEEN A PRODIGAL SON ALL THIS WHILE. JESUS, I ACCEPT YOU AS MY LORD AND SAVIOUR TODAY, COME INTO MY LIFE AND MAKE MY LIFE WHOLE AGAIN. IN JESUS' NAME"
